The Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center will close at 3pm today due to elevated indoor temperatures.
 
Unfortunately, the air conditioning system that services the center is not working properly. We have alerted the property managers responsible for HVAC operation and maintenance.
 
Our hope is to reopen tomorrow at our regular hours, if conditions improve. We will share an update this evening to confirm.

Due to a scheduled event at Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center tomorrow, Tuesday, February 10, there will be limited access to select spaces in the building and a modified fitness class schedule.

As winter weather conditions are expected to improve tomorrow, the Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center will reopen Monday, January 26, with modified hours.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
• The Center will be open from 11am to 11pm.
• Program teams who operate out of the center will reach out directly if your activity is affected.

At this time, we anticipate a return to normal operating hours on Tuesday, January 27.

We’ll continue to share updates via email and Instagram as needed.

The Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center will be closed Sunday, January 25th due to the winter storm.

This decision was made to prioritize the safety of our community and staff amid expected snowfall and hazardous travel conditions.

We are still evaluating conditions for Monday and will share updates as soon as possible.
