The World’s Game is Coming to Myrtle Avenue. ⚽🌎

This summer, The World At Myrtle Ave brings the energy of the 2026 tournament to Fort Greene & Clinton Hill with a neighborhood-wide celebration of soccer, art, food, and community.

Follow the action along Myrtle Avenue with storefront exhibitions featuring original illustrated characters by Brooklyn–based artist Eugenia Mello, inspired by Myrtle Avenue residents in motion, celebration, and play. Watch live match broadcasts at local bars and restaurants, participate in family-friendly activities and events, and enjoy tournament specials from businesses throughout the Avenue.

Get ready to gather, cheer and explore as we create neighborhood moments inspired by the beautiful game. Stay tuned as we spotlight all the ways to take part!

John’s Diner has a NEW home on Myrtle Avenue

When John’s Coffee & Donut recently closed, it marked the end of an era for a true neighborhood institution. An old-school diner known for affordable breakfast and lunch options, familiar faces, and the kind of everyday hospitality that made it a daily gathering place.

Clinton Hill just wouldn’t be the same without it…But there’s good news‼️

Fidelio Rita Jr., owner of Neno’s, has welcomed all eight former John’s Diner staff members — front-of-house team, cooks, and delivery staff — to join the Neno’s family‼️

Essentially, John’s Diner lives on at Neno’s. Same staff, same breakfast menu, and all the favorites neighbors know and love — including John’s beloved lemonade 🍋

Breakfast is served 7 days a week, from 5 AM–3 PM, with dine-in, delivery, and pick-up available, and call-in orders welcome just like before.

It’s a beautiful reminder of what makes Myrtle Avenue special: Small businesses showing up for one another, workers being valued, and a community finding ways to carry its stories forward.

“It’s very personal here. There’s no AI, there’s no robot. There’s someone cutting your fish. There’s someone grabbing it. There’s someone asking you how your day is. We keep everything personal and we take pride in doing it.”
— Zach,

The way it should be.

For more than 35 years, Duncan’s Quality Fish Market has been a Myrtle Avenue staple — serving generations of neighbors with care, quality, and a personal touch that’s increasingly rare today.

Each morning starts before sunrise, with fresh seafood arriving directly from the Fulton Fish Market and carefully prepared by hand. From laying down ice to filleting salmon and catfish to preparing fresh whitings, every step reflects the level of care, pride, and personal attention Duncan’s has built its reputation on.

It’s also a reminder of the strength of generational, family-owned businesses and the relationships that help sustain them — from Duncan’s here on Myrtle Avenue to partners like at the
