Lost Dog

Our newly adopted dog, Reba, slipped out of her leash at 4:00 PM today on Church Ave between E 18th St and Albemarle Rd. She ran off and was last seen near Nostrand Ave and Martense St. She is wearing a collar (we think, she may have gotten it off) that says "True North Pet Rescue" with a pink id badge.

Please keep an eye out for her. Here are her details:

- Description: 15 lbs, white with brown spots on her back, light facial scarring, large black eyes and long legs. She is a chihuahua pug mix.
- Behavior: Very fast runner; she currently does not respond to her name. Very afraid of people, men in particular.

Just in to FIDO

I saw a dog get hit by a car (the car didn’t stop and drove away even after slowing down) around 2:15pm at the intersection of clark st and cadman plaza way, right outside one of the park exits. he looked like a medium sized fluffy white dog, doodle type? I searched for him but couldn’t find him after he ran away down pineapple walk, and i saw other people searching but seems like no luck. i had to get back to work but he seemed well groomed from the brief glimpse i got, so i wonder if he’s someone’s dog who got off the leash or ran away!”

Warning….

Unfortunately, the stickman , dog killer, is back to Prospect Park.
He was seen this morning , Monday, collecting cans in the Long Meadow around 7:30-8am, near the Tunnel heading to Grand Army Plaza. He was also yelling and harassing people walking their dogs.

Please, alert everyone to be extra careful.

Found Dog

“Hi! I am looking for the owner of this gentleman dog. He is a tan and white un-neutered male. Approximately 20 lbs. he seems young but knows “sit” and is mostly house trained. Appears to be a terrier mix. Very very attached to people and very playful. He was found loose, no collar, in Windsor Terrace on Sunday night August 16th. He has no microchip. He has been staying with neighbors while we look for an owner. Now at my home in Windsor Terrace. I’m wondering if he might have run from somewhere in the park on Sunday evening? According to the FDA, Oma’s Pride of Avon, Connecticut, is voluntarily recalling one lot of its Woof Complete Canine Chicken Recipe. The company operates under Miller Foods, Inc.

The affected food was sold frozen in a six-pound stand-up pouch containing 12 individually wrapped, eight-ounce portions. The lot number is BB012729, with a best-by date of January 27, 2029, and a UPC of 8 7938400145 9. The item number is F-WOOFC-6. That best-by date, sitting three years out, is exactly why the FDA is urging owners to dig through their freezers now instead of assuming an old recall still isn’t in the back.

“Hi, Everyone -- our team in the park brought to my attention a lost dog that was found in the park (see photo attached). The Urban Park Rangers brought the dog to the ACC Queens, and we hoped you could get the word out to your network.”
