A dangerous bill being discussed in Israel would reportedly punish women for praying aloud at the Kotel with harsher penalties than some convicted rapists.

At the same time, both in Israel and the United States, we’re seeing governments push legislation that threatens women’s rights, religious freedom, bodily autonomy, and equal participation in public life.

That’s why JOFA’s mission matters. JOFA works to expand women’s rights and opportunities in Orthodox Jewish life through advocacy, education, and community-building. Organizations like JOFA are essential in raising awareness, fighting for equality, and ensuring women’s voices are not pushed out of Jewish communal and religious life.
