The ALPFA NY Community Impact Committee invites you to join us for an informal 5K at Prospect Park! Whether you’re a runner, walker, supporter, or simply want to meet our marathon team, we’d love to have you join us for a morning of movement, community, and impact.

Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early to meet the group and participate in a warm-up with our runners before we get moving!

In recognition of Latina Equal Pay Day, Women of ALPFA New York Chapter is proud to officially launch our Inspiring Voices podcast mini-series with Episode 1: Data Insights.

Today is more than an episode release. Latina Equal Pay Day brings attention to the pay inequities Latinas continue to face and reminds us why conversations around visibility, representation, career advancement, and opportunity matter.
And today, we’re bringing that conversation to Inspiring Voices. 💜

Latina Equal Pay Day serves as an important reminder that while ambition among Latina professionals remains strong, opportunities for advancement do not always progress at the same pace.

In Episode 1 of Inspiring Voices, Cindy J. Lone and Iris Rosa explore key findings from the Women in the Workplace 2025 Report and discuss what the data reveals about career progression, leadership visibility, sponsorship, and the pivotal transition into management. By connecting research to lived experience, they examine the systemic and organizational factors that influence professional growth and highlight the actions leaders can take to support more equitable advancement.

This conversation is an invitation to move beyond awareness and toward accountability, ensuring that talent is recognized, sponsored, and positioned to thrive at every level of leadership.

The 4th Annual ALPFA Pride+ Leadership Summit is this Friday, October 9 at UBS Headquarters. Swipe through to see the sessions, speakers and workshops planned for the day.

Doors open at 10:30 AM. Bring your ID and come as your full self. Our dress code is gender-affirming, and we welcome you to express your queerness comfortably in this space.

From building your network and wealth to critical thinking in the age of AI, visibility and authenticity at work, there is a session for students and professionals alike.

We’ll close with our awards ceremony and a networking reception from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, with music by Jay Essex (Joey Santiago)

When she’s not keeping the cinema alive or hitting the pavement, Alida is bringing a powerful mix of courage, grit, and pride to Team ALPFA. Behind the miles, this proud Mexican woman and first-time NYC marathoner is an only child, a massive The Hunger Games fan, and someone whose dream adventure is hiking the Dolomites. 🎬🏔️

Whether she’s refueling with a passion fruit drink (or a post-run cinnamon roll!), dreaming of Lake Como gelato, or powering through her 30+ weekly training miles with a high-energy reggaeton playlist, Alida embodies the strength and heart of our community. 🎶🥐

Alida is taking on 26.2 miles to empower Latino leaders through education, mentorship, and career development across NYC and beyond. 🧡
