The New Orleans ToolBank supports disaster response and recovery by providing essential tools and equipment to nonprofit organizations and volunteer groups on the front lines. From debris removal and cleanup to mucking out and gutting homes and rebuilding communities, ToolBank resources help recovery efforts begin faster and reach more people in need.

By equipping those who serve, we help communities recover stronger together.

We're proud to recognize the incredible work of and their CREST Youth Environmental Justice Fellows for taking action to make New Orleans East cleaner, safer, and more vibrant.

During the recent Lake Forest Corridor Beautification Day, CREST teens and community volunteers put ToolBank resources to work, collecting litter and removing bulky debris from the Lake Forest Blvd corridor and surrounding vacant properties. From bags of trash to discarded lumber, cardboard, and vehicle parts, their efforts made a visible impact on the neighborhood.

What makes this effort even more inspiring is that this was one of the first hands-on community action projects for the CREST Fellows, a program that empowers young people ages 13-17 to become environmental leaders and advocates in their communities.

Thank you to , the CREST Fellows, and every volunteer who showed up ready to serve. We're honored to support your work and look forward to partnering again on future cleanup and beautification efforts.

🍂 Fall Tool Field Day at Everwild Farm 🚜🛠️

Ready to level up your growing game? Join Sprout NOLA and the New Orleans ToolBank on Saturday, October 17, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Everwild Farm in Westwego for our Fall Tool Field Day!

This hands-on event is the Sprout Growers gateway to the New Orleans Growers Tool Lending Library (TLL). Learn how to become a member, review safety and protective gear requirements, and get introduced to powerful tools available to growers, including the BCS walk-behind tractor, Billy Goat brush cutter, gas-powered auger and post driver, flame weeder, and more.

If you're interested in borrowing equipment through the Tool Lending Library or accessing the New Orleans ToolBank inventory, you must attend this orientation.

Join Sprout NOLA and the New Orleans ToolBank on Saturday, October 17, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Everwild Farm in Westwego for a hands-on introduction to the tools and equipment available to local growers.

Participants will learn about Tool Lending Library membership, safety practices, required protective gear, and how to access equipment designed to make farm and garden projects easier and more efficient.
