Would you tear down an entire wall because of one scuff mark?

Of course not.

So why do we let good homes fall apart instead of fixing them?

For the cost of building 1 new home, we can repair 18. 🏠✨

Every roof patched = a family stays safely housed.

Every ramp built = a neighbor lives independently.

Every home repaired = affordable housing preserved —before it's gone for good.

We're Rebuilding Together, and repair is how we solve the housing crisis.

Would you drain your whole pool because of one leaf?

Of course not. So why do we let perfectly good homes fall into disrepair?

For the cost of building 1 new home, Rebuilding Together can repair 18.

Instead of replacing homes, we fix them — making them safer, more accessible, and easier to maintain for veterans, older adults, people with disabilities, and families with young children.

✅Every roof patched keeps a family safely housed.
✅Every ramp built helps a neighbor live independently.
✅Every home repaired preserves affordable housing before it disappears for good.

Let's flashback to a project from last year's Rebuilder Month!

In this home, RTNO was able to provide new flooring for our homeowner. Flooring may not seem like a safe and healthy home repair upon first glance, but when a home settles, and floorboards start to separate, the exposed edges can create fall hazards. The older we get, the harder falls can impact a person's overall health.

So! New floors it is! 🛠

They were up bright and early this morning to give another family and home a new lease on life! 🎨🏠

As we get closer to Rebuilder Month, let's take a look at what we accomplished last year!💚

Joseph Johnson is a lifelong New Orleans resident who grew up in the 9th Ward before moving into his home in the Desire neighborhood with his wife, Iris. There, they raised their six children before Iris' passing in 2017. The home has been impacted by several storms, which is where we came in...

Last Rebuilder Month, we provided Mr. Johnson with several critical home repairs, such as replacing damage to the siding, ramp, and fence. We also gave him a new FORTIFIED roof, which will keep his home safe through the next storm. 🛠

As we get closer ot Rebuilder Month, let's revisit our work from last year! ⏪

We were happy to provide repairs to this beautiful Bywater home owned by Mr. Allen Banks. Allen Banks spent the majority of his life in the Lafitte project area in the 6th ward before purchasing his Bywater home in the 1980s. He is known by his neighbors for his acts of service, such as handing out red beans and rice at his church.

Last year, we gave him a new roof and repainted the home a bright canary yellow! ⭐

What will we accomplish this year? Stay tuned...
