Fair Fight Initiative
The Fair Fight Initiative is committed to protecting civil rights by fighting against brutal jail and prison conditions, police abuse, and prosecutorial misconduct. Through litigation and community advocacy, Fair Fight exposes mistreatment by all law enforcement, including jail and prison guards, and works to end mass incarceration.
We take on cases that lawyers often refuse because financial incentives overwhelmingly favor the powerful, and reward law firms that defend unconscionable law enforcement conduct on the streets and in America’s jails and prisons.
These lawyers, often paid by the hour by insurance companies, can afford to bury their opponents in paperwork, file endless motions, and fight routine discovery requests. Their strategy is to bully those without resources and make sure they never question the status quo.
With public support, Fair Fight levels the playing field by funding civil rights litigation and working within communities to bring justice to individuals and their families.
