Visit to The Historic New Orleans Collection at Kolaj Fest New Orleans 2026

Through a no-charge museum on Royal Street and a research center on Chartres Street, The Historic New Orleans Collection makes history available to the general public and history researchers. HNOC has been an invaluable asset to collage artists who visit New Orleans to research and make art about the city. On Thursday, 11 June 2026, HNOC will host a series of afternoon programs, “Collage in the Collection” and “Architecture as Collage, Collage as Architecture” from 2PM to 4PM at the Williams Research Center, 410 Chartres Street. The programs are open to anyone visiting the Research Center.

🛑 Quick recycling PSA! 🛑

We love your commitment to the planet, but leaving items on the floor when bins are unavailable creates a mess and attracts unwanted pests. 🐜🚫

We have a strict rule: Any items left on the ground outside of the bins will be thrown IN THE TRASH. 🗑️❌

Bins gone? That means they are full. Please do not leave your recycling on the floor.

Check before you trek: Always visit our website first (nohc.org)! There is a live status banner right at the top of every page showing if we are accepting drop-offs.

P.S. 😉 Our security cameras have a perfect view of the drop zone. We know who you are, and we’d much rather see your smiling face on camera when the bins are wide open and ready! 📹✨

JOIN THE NOHC GREEN TEAM!

On Saturday, June 13th, the New Orleans Healing Center is thrilled to host Kolaj Fest! While we love welcoming big crowds to our space, large festivals mean a lot of moving parts—and unfortunately, our recycling area usually takes a beating.

When trash gets tossed into our recycling bins, the whole batch gets contaminated and EVERYTHING has to go to the landfill. We’re putting together a team to help stop that from happening.

Shift options between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM (2–3 hour slots).

Just hang out near the recycling center to ensure people only drop in glass and cans. Seriously, that’s it! No dirty sorting required! You'll also do an occasional walkthrough to check if regular trash cans are full.

BONUS: Volunteer for at least 3 hours and we’ll buy you lunch/dinner with a gift certificate to St. Roch Market across the street!
