Founded in 2009 covering the cities of New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Lafayette, South Louisiana is at the center of the economic growth of the energy industry, from the exploration and production and service companies who find and produce needed natural resources, to the pipeline companies who transport the production and products, to the refineries who transform the production into usable material.

PANELIST SPOTLIGHT!!!

One of our panelists won’t be able to join us tomorrow, but where there’s WEN, there’s a way! ✅

Tershara Matthews has an extensive career working both in the public and private sector at the interface between science and policy. She is heavily invested in stakeholder engagement and collaboration for better decision making. Her focus has been in the energy sector where she performed both program and project management. Along with energy and environmental issues she is competent in scientific research and data management, renewable energy, sustainable development, marine spatial planning, energy efficiency, environmental awareness, climate change, and coastal resiliency. Her formal education is in business development from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government. We are SO excited that she is able to join us!

This year's theme is "Fueling the Future: Sustainability, Innovation, and the Spirit of the South" and will feature a panel of remarkable professionals including Jasmine Brown DeRousselle (Chief External Affairs Officer, Greater New Orleans, Inc. – GNO, Inc..), Dr. Bethany Stich (Director of the Transportation Institute (UNO Transportation Institute) and Full Professor of Planning at the University of New Orleans), and Alexandra St. Pé, PhD (Senior Energy Leader at RWE Americas).
