CreativeMornings/Minneapolis CreativeMornings is a monthly breakfast lecture series for creative types. Each free event includes a 20-minute talk, plus coffee. Everyone is creative.

Everyone is welcome. Minneapolis is a city of warm summers, freezing winters and a lake at every turn of the corner. We have a bustling creative community and want to strengthen our relationships and potential by sharing what we do with each other. We understand the challenges of creating something you love. From fitting it into your busy life to fighting off imposter syndrome; the struggle is real. And one of the biggest hurdles is a lack of accountability. So, let’s come together and support one another!

What if we gave our personal creative projects a collective deadline?

Release Day on May 29th is when we all finally share that special thing we’ve been working on. It’s a motivating moment to declare, “here it is!” No matter how imperfect or polished it may be.

A multidisciplinary creative with roots in print, design, and storytelling, Dan’s career has spanned decades of bold ideas and thoughtful craft from earning early recognition with a Grammy nomination for Recording Package Design to co-owning the influential studio Aesthetic Apparatus, whose work has been celebrated by major publications and global design exhibitions.

Today, Dan brings that same curiosity and creative energy into his role as an Assistant Professor of Art & Design at Augsburg University, while continuing to explore writing, education, and branding through his latest ventures. With a background that blends design excellence, entrepreneurial thinking, and a passion for storytelling, his perspective is sure to spark fresh ideas and meaningful conversation. Join us as we lean into the season of growth, creativity, and inspiration you won’t want to miss this one.

Did you know that CreativeMornings MSP literally runs on volunteers? In honor of volunteer month we'd like to recognize our absolutely amazing volunteers. They get up before the sun each month to help make everything about our events possible from the first coffee filled to the last table put away after the event. CreativeMornings MSP could not happen with out you.

Speaking of coffee we'd also like to thank our outstanding hospitality and venue partners that offer up their time, space, and energy each month.
