SEVEN DAYS out until December 11: The countdown continues to a planned 20-day strike by 15,000 nurses in the Twin Cities and Duluth-Superior, set to begin December 11. The members of the Minnesota Nurses Association have been bargaining for nearly 9 months seeking a contract that provides for safe staffing for patients and nurses.

Email Klobuchar to say “As a constituent, I demand that the senator take every action possible to push forward and pass the American Dream and Promise Act through the judiciary committee and through the Senate. We can’t wait until over 1 million immigrants with DACA and TPS lose their status. Time is up for congress to act. Stop playing with peoples lives. Join MIRAC for a noise demo in support of DACA on Sunday at noon. We are tired of politicians using DACA recipients as leverage and promising reform. We Demand Legalization Now! 10 years of DACA marks a decade of attacks on immigrants! It’s time for politicians to deliver. Sunday August 28th at noon 404 3rd Ave. N. Mpls. Bring something to make noise: Instruments, pots and pans etc.
