Big GFS construction update: Minneapolis Public Works sent out a newsletter this week announcing that the end of Phase 1 construction will be 10/9, nearly two months ahead of schedule.

Phase 2 starts early 2027, and public works will host a pre-construction open house for the community to attend and ask questions.

In the meantime: SUPPORT SQUARE BUSINESSES. We will be at Bichota from 1 to 3 pm today to talk to neighbors about energy efficiency programs and 10/3 is the annual Bowls & Spoons event at the square (see separate post).
