Today we celebrate Juneteenth. a day that marks liberation, resilience, and the ongoing fight for justice.

At SVC we recognize that the legacy of slavery and systemic racism continues to shape the realities many black survivors of sexual violence face today. From barriers to reporting, to lack of access to culturally responsive support, the impacts are real and ongoing.

Freedom is not just about the past. it’s about ensuring safety, dignity, and healing for all people in the present.
