The Longfellow Garden Club is hosting a Garden Plant Sale Fundraiser on May 30th from 9:30-11:30am at the corner of 38th Ave. S and 34th St. E, across from the Longfellow Park tennis courts!

Stop by to browse seedlings and cuttings, garden tools and supplies, decorative planters, yard art, bird feeders, gardening books, and more. You can also donate garden-related items, including extra seedlings, viable seed packets, or early harvest vegetables like rhubarb and asparagus.

Items will not be individually priced, but donations are encouraged. Cash, check, and Venmo will be accepted, and memberships to the Longfellow Garden Club can also be renewed at the event.

Minneapolis renters facing eviction may qualify for emergency rental assistance through the City of Minneapolis. Eligible residents can receive help paying rent and utilities if they meet income requirements and have received a 30-day pre-eviction notice from their landlord.

Applications are handled through community partner organizations with support available in multiple languages. Learn more about eligibility and how to apply here:

Tomorrow! Learn more about the proposed data center moratorium and have your voice heard.

Neighbors — I need your voice!
This Wednesday, May 13 at 6PM, join me at Nokomis Community Center for an important conversation about data center development in Minneapolis.

I'm proposing a pause / moratorium on new data center development so we can do this right — engaging our community, understanding the risks and benefits, and building a strong regulatory framework that puts people first. We will be taking up the vote on the pause on May 21.

From water use and energy consumption to zoning and environmental impact, there's a lot at stake. Representatives from the Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy and Sierra Club MN will be there in attendance.
