Longfellow/Seward Healthy Seniors Nonprofit organization providing health, social, and support services to older adults in South Minneapolis We’ve been providing services to seniors since 1994.

Longfellow/Seward Healthy Seniors is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, community based organization serving a diverse population of older adults in the Longfellow and Seward neighborhoods of south Minneapolis. Our mission is to enable community seniors to live healthy, independent and socially connected lives. We serve about 500 older adults annually

Longfellow/Seward Healthy Seniors has MOVED to a new office space inside St. Peder's Lutheran Church. This new office has more space to welcome our community, and will allow us to provide Nurse Is In clinics, technology support, and other activities on site!

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Bradshaw Funeral & Cremation Services for generously hosting our former office for so many years, and to the community at St. Peder's for the warm welcome.

Minnehaha Communion Lutheran Church, Longfellow/Seward Healthy Seniors and Longfellow Community Council are co-sponsoring a monthly coffee club event for older adults in the community.

We will be serving pastries from Luane Bread, coffee from Peace Coffee and other refreshments.

Grey Matters: Understanding Anxiety in Older Adults
Tuesday, May 19, 10:30 - 11:30 am
Mental illness is not a normal part of aging. Persistent symptoms that significantly interfere with daily living and relationships may be a sign of anxiety or another mental health concern. A presenter with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) will cover risk factors, warning signs, treatment, recovery, su***de prevention, and resources for supporting older adults managing anxiety.

Senior Social and Health Talks occur on the third Tuesday of each month and feature guest speakers on health/wellness issues, and time to socialize! Refreshments are provided! A Nurse is In/Blood Pressure Clinic is also offered. Suggested donation is $1.00.

All socials are held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2730 East 31st Street, Minneapolis.
