Adult adoptees are invited to a free six-film screening series, starting June 17, and to participate in research on adoptee audience responses to films containing adopted characters and/or adoption plots/subplots. Attendees may join one, several, or all screenings. After each film, attendees will be asked (but not required) to complete a brief survey on their response to the film’s adoption content. All participation is voluntary, anonymous, and includes informed consent.

Join AK Connection & Adoptees United for an important community conversation. All intercountry and domestic adoptees, adoptive families, and allies are welcome.

As the political and immigration landscape continues to change, many adoptees are facing new uncertainty around citizenship and documentation. This event will provide timely insights, resources, and strategies to help our community better understand and respond to these evolving challenges. We are honored to welcome Greg Luce of Adoptees United and the Adoptee Rights Law Center for this event focusing on adoptee citizenship, documentation challenges, and ongoing advocacy efforts.

Seollal is a time to reflect on where we’ve been and to honor where we’re going.
