“We are a small rural school in northern MN. We don't have a large budget for field trips. We would not be able to give students the opportunity to visit Voyageurs National Park without a grant. We want to enrich their education with outdoor and Ojibwe lessons.”

— Voyageurs Classroom Bus Fund Recipient

💙 This is why the Voyageurs Classroom matters.

Every student deserves the chance to experience the wonder of Voyageurs National Park, regardless of their background, location, or school budget.

This spring alone, more than 350 local students visited the park, exploring Ojibwe Lifeways, Amazing Animal Adaptations, Water Critters, and more. 🛶

For many students, these experiences are more than a field trip. They are a chance to discover new perspectives, build confidence outdoors, and create meaningful connections to their national park.

✨ Funding for this project was provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR).

🎉 What a night! 🎉 When our community comes together for Voyageurs National Park, incredible things happen.

A packed crowd, countless new connections, and nearly $30,000 raised for Minnesota's national park!

We're still feeling the energy from last week's Voyageurs on Tap! Together, we raised critical funds to support pristine waters, wildlife research and habitat restoration, and ensure future generations can experience this natural wonder. 🌲🫎

We are so grateful for our generous event sponsors, program partners, and dedicated supporters who made this night a success! At a time when our parks need us more than ever, gatherings like this remind us that that Voyageurs has an incredible community behind it.

From all of us at Voyageurs Conservancy, thank you for showing up and helping keep Voyageurs wild, resilient, and accessible for generations to come. 💚

🐦✨ PSA: An estimated 26.6 million birds will fly over Minnesota tonight!

Forecasts from the Purdue Aero Eco Lab indicate a large-scale bird migration across the state tonight. Spring migration is one of nature’s most incredible journeys, but bright artificial lights can disorient birds and increase their risk of collision and exhaustion during flight.

That’s why Lights Out Alert Minnesota is asking people across the state to turn off outdoor lighting TONIGHT (May 12) from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. 🌌

Simple actions like switching off porch lights, closing curtains, or dimming outdoor lighting can help protect migrating songbirds and support healthier ecosystems across Minnesota!

Voyageurs National Park provides critical habitat for countless bird species. By helping birds safely navigate their migration routes, we can all play a small part in protecting the wildlife and natural systems that make these places so special!
