Helping people survive and recover from forced displacement looks different all across the globe. Sometimes it means offering a cup of coffee, a safe place to live, an educational seminar, or a language lesson. For our Refugee Church Consultant, Rev. Jean Pierre Gatera, it looked like a visit to Burundi last month to encourage and train local pastors and leaders, provide guidance to a group of churches in a growing refugee camp, and take stock of the repatriation conditions in the country.
