This July, we’re hoping to distribute $9,000 in support to our 11 organizations — but we’re $3,000 short. We’re asking you to give us a boost. Our organizations reach every corner of Milwaukee County. We strive for equitable wages for all our artists. We open our doors to people who need a place to land.

🚨SNEAK PEEK 🚨

TERRA PAPAGALLI features rarely heard and, in many cases, never-before-performed Baroque music from colonial Brazil, bringing vibrant, long-silent music to life through an evening of world premiere dance works.

This full-length concert features original choreography by Artistic Director Christal Wagner alongside DPMKE’s four Artistic Coordinators: Katelyn Altmann, Cuauhtli Ramírez Castro, Ashley Ray Garcia, and Zoe Mei Glise. Together, these artists respond to Brazil’s Baroque soundscape with bold, contemporary movement taking an avian inspired approach to the musical repertoire.

Join us for two performances at the Zelazo Center’s Helen Bader Concert Hall (2419 E. Kenwood Blvd, Milwaukee, WI 53211) on:

May 29, 2026 7:30PM

REPERTOIRE FEATURE | Antoine Brumel’s Missa “Et ecce terrae motus” (Earthquake Mass)

We will be performing both the Kyrie and Agnus dei movements from this incredible composition. Brumel wrote this Mass with a massive 12-part structure with the intent of voices sounding like tectonic plates colliding.

These two movements really represent the frightening instability and sheer awe that come with natural disasters. This piece was justly popular during his time and we certainly understand why!

This has been a wonderful and rewarding challenge for our singers. The music is incredibly demanding and difficult and it’s an honor for us to sing such a musical phenomenon!!!

Come hear it this weekend at our SAL TERRAE program!
