Common Ground is a multi-racial, multi-faith, non-partisan alliance of 44 member organizations with 50,000+ everyday people dedicated to building power to advance racial equity and economic justice, hold elected and corporate officials accountable, and create positive change in the Greater Milwaukee area. CG’s success is rooted in the commitment of our member organizations: congregations, neighborhood groups, nonprofits, small businesses, unions, and schools. We’ve won tens of millions from big banks to repair damage caused by predatory lending, created our own nonprofit healthcare cooperative, secured permanent statewide funding for driver’s ed, and gotten new leadership at the Housing Authority. We welcome thoughtful conversation and diverse perspectives. We are strictly non-partisan. Our social media channels are a space for people who care about building a stronger Milwaukee — and that means maintaining an environment where everyone can participate respectfully. We may remove comments that include:
• Hate speech or discrimination targeting any group
• Threats of violence or personal harassment
• Profanity directed at individuals
• Private personal information shared without consent
• Support or opposition for a political party or a candidate for public office
• Spam, scam links, or unrelated advertising
• Content that encourages illegal activity
• Repeated identical posts
We do not remove comments simply because someone disagrees with us. We monitor our channels during business hours (Monday–Friday) and aim to respond to
