Woman's Club of Wisconsin A membership club where vision becomes action, through leadership, kindness, and community.

I really don't know how to explain the warmth, joy, and vibe at the Mount Mary Fashion Archive event. Only that the event embodied the entire feeling of the Club, and why we exist. We had a turnout of about 90 people! Having a close-up view of the dresses, learning their history, and knowing they were worn by Club members sent chills as the dresses looked out over the ballroom. One thing is for sure... we need a fashion museum in Milwaukee to attract tourism! This was certainly an iconic pillar event of the 150th-year celebration.

Some history is written in documents. Some is preserved in photographs. And some is held in the fabric of what women wore.

This is your last chance to attend Eras of Impact, Signatures of Style, a rare 150th Anniversary presentation featuring fashions worn by Woman’s Club of Wisconsin members and preserved in the Mount Mary University Fashion Archive.

From Paris couture to royal occasions, wartime service to mid-century elegance, each garment opens a window into the life of a woman who helped carry WCW’s legacy forward.

This is not an ordinary fashion presentation. It is an iconic look at 150 years of women making their mark.

Wednesday, June 10

Milwaukee families should not have to face lead exposure alone.

That is why COLE, the Coalition on Lead Emergency, works to prevent and respond to lead poisoning through education, testing, legislation, and inspection.

WCW is joining this outreach effort by helping collect items for lead-safe kits distributed to local families.

Now through June 27, you can help provide practical supplies that support safer homes and healthier children.

Last chance to experience a rare moment where fashion, history, and legacy meet.

On June 10, garments worn by Woman’s Club of Wisconsin members will make a special appearance through the Mount Mary University Fashion Archive, offering an intimate look at the women behind the style and the eras they helped shape.

These pieces are more than gowns, uniforms, and hats. They are artifacts of presence. They tell stories of travel, service, royal occasions, civic life, and cultural influence.

This is WCW history seen through what women wore when they moved through the world with confidence and purpose.
