The inability to find joy…
The heavy weight of impending sorrow…
The drudgery of waking up another day, with the same grief…
God sees it, and He cares.
Lord, help us leave it in Your hands!

The deep trauma of loss and grief really never leaves, but is absorbed into our being. It looks different on every person.
Crying
Overindulgeance
Overthinking
Working too much
Avoiding people
The list goes on…but please hear our words: YOU ARE NOT ALONE! We care, your loved ones and family care. Please ask for help.

The weight you feel makes sense.
Love, leaves, marks, and some of them ache: maybe for a lifetime.
You are not alone in this.

Our annual Next Luncheon was a resounding success today. We extend our gratitude to our Vision level sponsor, Raymond James, and Burdette Park for their elevated level of support. We also appreciate everyone who purchased a table or ticket. Dr. Leaf presented invaluable insights into the mind-body connection and the profound impact of our thoughts on our lives. One key takeaway was the notion that "what you think about grows." We regret that time did not permit a more in-depth exploration of her research and science. We highly recommend following her on social media and engaging with one of her books, such as “Cleaning Up My Mental Mess,” which delves into her Neurocycling process. What a beautiful day. Thank you, Lord! And thanks to all who came out to support First Hour!!
