As we wrap this week of incredible Derby & Discovery memories, we’re ending by celebrating the powerhouse women behind the scenes making magic happen in Louisville.

💙 Three powerful women. One extraordinary mission. Historic results. 💙

Behind every unforgettable moment of Derby & Discovery Weekend were three dedicated women leading with passion, purpose, and relentless determination:
✨ Whitten Montgomery, Executive Director
✨ Tami Cappelletti, Development Manager
✨ Shannon Baker, Advocacy Director

These three women are proof that leadership, innovation, and heart can transform not just an event, but an entire movement.

Together, they helped create one of the most successful weekends in event history, proving that some of the most powerful magic happens behind the scenes.

🌟 Shannon Baker, Advocacy Director: Thank you for ensuring that advocacy is always at the forefront of our work. Your leadership helped make the Rising Voice Award a powerful reflection of our commitment to policy, civic engagement, and lasting change. Because of you, advocacy had a meaningful and visible place on this stage.

🌟 Tami Cappelletti, Development Manager: Thank you for stepping in time and time again to ensure every detail, every educational component, and every moving piece came together seamlessly. Discovery Day was remarkable, and your ability to jump in just 18 days after Fight For Air Climb demonstrates extraordinary dedication, flexibility, and heart.

🌟 Whitten Montgomery, Executive Director: Thank you for transforming the Gala into the full Derby & Discovery Weekend, reimagining not only the structure and timing of the event, but expanding its mission, educational reach, and impact. Your vision helped create something bold, innovative, and record-breaking. Because of your leadership, this event didn’t just meet expectations—it shattered them.

Three women. One Louisville team. Endless impact.

This is what leadership looks like. This is what mission-driven magic looks like.
