For more than a decade, Operation Lunchbox has believed something very simple: a child should never have to worry about where their next meal is coming from.

Food insecurity isn’t always easy to see. The child sitting beside your child in class, playing on the same ballfield, or riding the same school bus may go home wondering whether there will be enough food for the weekend.

That’s why Butts County will always be special to Operation Lunchbox. This community is our home base, and taking care of children right here at home remains at the heart of our mission.

But we can’t do it alone.

For more than a decade, Operation Lunchbox has stood in the gap for food-insecure children across Georgia.

We have served children in 35+ counties, provided more than 1,000,000 bags of groceries, and helped put millions of meals into the hands of kids who needed them most.

But today, the need is growing faster than our resources.

Schools in Butts, Spalding, Henry, Fulton, Clayton, and surrounding counties are reaching out asking for help. Some are schools we already serve. Others are new schools with children going home every weekend without enough food.

We want to say YES to every one of them.

But we can’t do it without you.

A monthly gift of $25 can help provide groceries for a child. A church can sponsor a school. A business can fund hundreds of bags. A community can come together and make sure no child has to wonder where their next meal is coming from.

This is not just about statistics.

It’s about the child sitting in a classroom trying to focus while hungry.

Life has gotten busier than ever. There have been challenges, long days, and moments where it would have been easier to slow down. But hunger doesn’t take a break because life gets busy.

That’s why we’re still here.

Every grocery bag we pack is more than food—it’s hope, dignity, and one less worry for a child and their family.
