CALLING ALL WILLING HANDS!

The Compassion Center needs YOU on Tuesdays! We're looking for volunteers to help sort donated clothing so we can keep blessing our community with what they need.

No special skills required, just a servant's heart and a little time. Whether you can give an hour or three, every pair of hands makes a difference.

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others." ~1 Peter 4:10

❤️ WE'RE SO THANKFUL for the many volunteers who signed up to serve at the Compassion Center last month! Your willingness to step in and help is what allows this ministry to continue meeting real needs in our community.

We’re also launching a quarterly COMPASSION CENTER PROJECT TEAM that will help tackle special projects that move the ministry forward. This team will gather one Saturday morning each quarter to work on important projects together.

Our first project day is this Saturday, March 14th, and we’ll be working to set up an ALC Compassion Center at the ALC Jonesboro campus!

In two weeks, 65 students at Henderson Middle School will be heading into Christmas break with food in their backpacks, all because of the thoughtfulness and initiative of their teachers who saw a need and took action to meet it. 🤍

The ALC Compassion Center was grateful to come alongside what they started by sending 400 pounds of food, but when that is divided among 65 students and stretched across two full weeks, it goes quickly.

✨ WE'D LOVE FOR YOU TO JOIN US in helping fill the gap!
The school is collecting simple meals students can prepare on their own, including:

🥫 Pop-top meals
🍜 Ramen & cup noodles
🍝 Microwavable mac & cheese
🥪 Peanut butter & crackers
🍎 Fruit cups & applesauce
🥣 Granola bars, oatmeal & cereal
🥤 Shelf-stable milk & juice

If you’d like to donate, you can reach out to the school directly, or you’re welcome to message us and we’ll help connect you. We will also be continuing to give as we are able over the next couple of weeks to support this effort.

This entire project began with the caring hearts of teachers who truly love their students, and we are honored to be part of what they started. Thank you for joining us in loving these kids well this Christmas season! ❤️

We just got a call from a SINGLE MOM who was in a HOUSE FIRE.

She has a place to stay and is coming tomorrow to get clothes but NEEDS CARSEATS AND STROLLER FOR INFANT AND TODDLER. If anyone has any infant or toddler items you aren't using and willing to give, let us know! Thank you so much!
