🐾 What it’s like working with animals! 🐾
Working with sanctuary animals, those who can’t be released back into the wild, is so rewarding! Getting to give these animals a forever home and doing everything we can to give them the best life possible means so much to us. While we know a sanctuary can never replace the wild, we do our best every day to make their lives as natural and fulfilling as possible. Getting to watch them thrive makes it all worth it! ❤️
Of course, there’s a hard side to it, too. You build bonds with these animals, and having to say goodbye when their time comes is never easy for our staff. 💔
And then there’s the not-so-fun stuff! Scooping p**p, getting in the pond to retrieve enrichment that fell in, hauling hay, and don’t even get us started on the monkey messes! 😂🐒
But honestly, we wouldn’t trade it for anything! We love each and every one of our residents so dearly, and we’re so thankful we get to be their family. Working with animals may not be the easiest job but it’s definitely the best job!!❤️
