I would venture to bet that every parent who has a loved one with substance use disorder at one time or another has felt responsible to help him/her.

That's just how parents are.
It's just how parents think.
It's just what parents do.

I also believe that parents often put themselves last. Especially in times of danger, turmoil, or crisis. Is that you?

Maybe it's time for you to help yourself now.

At PAL, we focus on the parents and adult family members.

We believe the substance user has the best chance for recovery when helped in a healthy way by parents who are educated about the world of addiction. We think parents of substance users have a tough job so we give them hope and peer support.

This Summer the Henry County Public Library System will once again partner with Vision To Learn!
