Today, our community celebrates the life of Dr. John Noble, whose leadership and vision touched countless lives across Southwest Louisiana.

Dr. Noble was a champion for the Just Imagine SWLA and, during his reign as King of Mystique, he and his Queen established the Krewe of Mystique Fund at the Community Foundation. His vision to connect philanthropy with Mardi Gras celebrations will continue to make a positive impact in our region.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who were impacted by his remarkable life and service.

For Dr. Nicole Moncrief, joy is found in serving others. Whether investing in her church, supporting community organizations, or encouraging the next generation of leaders, giving back has been a lifelong calling.

As a board member of the Community Foundation and Second Harvest, as well as a children's book author, she is helping build a stronger, more compassionate community for all 📖 ⛪ 🧡

There’s still time to get involved in coastal restoration this Saturday, June 13. 🌊🌿

Join the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana in Cameron Parish for a hands-on marsh grass planting event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Volunteers will help plant spartina alterniflora as part of an effort to restore two acres of marsh east of Calcasieu Lake, an area impacted by Hurricanes Laura and Delta.

Expect to get wet and muddy while making a real difference for coastal resilience. Lunch, snacks and supplies will be provided. 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝, and the exact location will be shared with registered volunteers.
