Southwest Louisiana was in the spotlight as Lake Charles hosted the Americas LNG Summit.

CEO Sara Judson joined Board Chair Clair Marceaux of Bechtel and Kim Montie of the Port of Cameron for a panel discussion on industry values, community engagement, and social investment across the Gulf Coast.

We were proud to be part of the conversation about what industry investment can mean for our communities beyond the numbers: stronger neighborhoods, greater resilience, opportunities for local businesses, and a quality of life that gives people a reason to build their lives here.

From vision to action. 🌱

Last week, community partners came together at the SEED Center to plant a new pollinator garden as part of Bayou Greenbelt, one of the projects helping bring Just Imagine SWLA’s 50-Year Resilience Master Plan to life.

With support from Phillips 66, volunteers from McNeese State University, Louisiana Master Gardeners, Louisiana Master Naturalists, Diggers & Weeders Garden Club, the Garden Club of Lake Charles, and other community partners helped put 20 species of native trees, shrubs, and plants in the ground.

The new garden will support local pollinators while creating another space for people to connect with nature along Contraband Bayou. 🌿🦋

Swipe through to see planting day in action, and save the date for our ribbon-cutting on Nov. 12! Follow Just Imagine SWLA for details.
