With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Tammy Vincent, RN.

Tammy was a dedicated member of our Human Trafficking Task Force and a passionate advocate for survivors. Her compassion and commitment to serving others made a lasting impact on our community and on the countless lives she touched.

We are grateful for her service, her friendship, and the legacy she leaves behind. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time.

It is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of our beloved patient, Tammy Vincent.

Tammy's kindness, strength, and compassion left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. We are grateful for the opportunity to have cared for her and will always remember the light she brought to others.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Billy, her family, friends, and all who loved her.

Rest peacefully, Tammy. You will be deeply missed.

☀️ Summer break is here and while school may be out, online risks don’t take a vacation.

With more free time, teens are spending more time online, gaming, and on social media, all spaces where traffickers and predators may attempt to build trust through fake friendships, gifts, compliments, or promises.

Here are a few reminders to share with the teens in your life:
📱 Think twice before sharing personal information or photos
🚫 Never meet someone in person you only know online
👀 Be cautious of anyone asking to move conversations to private apps
🗣️ Speak up if something feels uncomfortable or “off”

A quick conversation today could make all the difference tomorrow.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country and the freedoms we hold dear. 🇺🇸

As we remember those who gave their lives protecting others, we are reminded that freedom is precious — and worth protecting in all forms.

At the Alliance to Fight Human Trafficking in SWLA, we remain committed to protecting the dignity, safety, and freedom of those impacted by human trafficking in our communities.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Every survivor deserves a safe place to heal.

For young victims of human trafficking, there are currently very limited, if any, options to receive the long-term care, support, and stability they need to begin healing and rebuilding their lives. That has to change.

That’s why the Alliance to Fight Human Trafficking in SWLA is working toward a long-term vision: Metanoia Meadows.

More than a facility, Metanoia Meadows represents hope. It represents healing. And it represents our commitment to victims — a promise that our community sees them, believes them, and stands beside them.

Our long-term goal is to partner with Metanoia, an organization already delivering a model program of recovery and rehabilitation for survivors of human trafficking, to help bring this level of care and support closer to home for SWLA survivors.

The attached vision board represents the first phase of our dream for Metanoia Meadows. While there is still much work to be done to make this vision a reality, we believe every step forward matters.

Together, we can build something that changes lives for generations to come.
