Congratulations to Keelan and Ava on being selected as this year’s recipients of the prestigious American Legion Award. 🇺🇸💙♥️

This honor recognizes students who exemplify outstanding qualities of leadership, courage, honor, service, scholarship, and patriotism. Keelan and Ava have demonstrated these values through their commitment to our school and community, serving as positive role models for their peers.

As we begin the month of June, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, ❤️‍🔥♥️🔥 we are especially grateful for students who reflect Christ’s heart through their service, integrity, and love for others.

The Family Legacy Foundation and KZWA 104.9 would be honored to have our veterans, active military members, and military families to have you join us downtown in Lake Charles for the Faye Brown Blackwell Juneteenth Festival on Friday, June 19, 2026. This celebration is about freedom, heritage, culture, and community and we believe it is important to recognize and welcome those who have served, as well as those currently serving.@

This morning we had an amazing time at our ANNUAL SWLA VETERANS ASSOCIATION GOLF TOURNAMENT with a whole ⛳🕳️ lot of support from our community and sponsors we would like to send out a huge a THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT AND SUPPORTED OUR HOME TOWN HEROS OUR VETERANS.
