As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we have spent the last several weeks reflecting on why this mission matters so much.

At With You, we talk often about supporting first responders, but behind every badge, uniform, headset, and title is a human being. Someone who carries stress, trauma, loss, responsibility, and the weight of showing up for others on their hardest days.

This month, we had the opportunity to bring our community together for the screening of Ptsd-911 Movie. What made the evening powerful was not just the film itself, but the conversations that followed. We watched first responders, family members, community leaders, and mental health professionals come together to discuss a reality that too many people face in silence.

Mental health awareness is not about a single month on the calendar. It is about creating a culture where asking for help is viewed as strength, where peer support is available, where education replaces stigma, and where people know they are not alone.

The stories shared during PTSD:911 reminded us that trauma is real, but so is recovery. Hope is real. Connection is real. Support is real.

Every conversation started, every resource shared, every person who reaches out for help, and every organization that stands beside first responders helps move us one step closer to a healthier and stronger community.

Thank you to everyone who attended PTSD:911, supported Mental Health Awareness Month initiatives, partnered with With You, and continues to stand with those who serve.

The month may be ending, but the mission continues.

We will keep showing up.
We will keep having the hard conversations.
And we will keep standing with those who serve.

We hope everyone has a safe Memorial Day with the people who matter most. Take time to enjoy the day, reflect on the freedoms we share, and remember those who made them possible.

Today is a day to come together as families, friends, and communities while remembering the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

That spirit of service and sacrifice is worth honoring and celebrating.

Mental Health Awareness Month is an important reminder that support, connection, and community matter more than most people realize.

At With You, we are incredibly grateful for sponsors who continue to stand beside us as we work to support the mental health and wellness of our first responders and their families.

Thank you to Lundy LLP for your continued support of our mission. Partnerships like yours help us continue creating conversations, building relationships, and connecting first responders to resources and support when they need it most.

Mental health awareness is not just about one month. It is about creating a culture where people know they do not have to carry the weight alone.

We appreciate your investment in our community and your commitment to standing with those who serve others.

Last night, our community came together for Ptsd-911 Movie, and the impact of the evening was felt far beyond the theater walls.

What made this event meaningful was not just the film itself, but the conversations that followed. Honest conversations about PTSD, stress, trauma, family impact, and the reality many first responders quietly carry throughout their careers.

For many, this was the first time hearing these experiences openly discussed. For others, it was a reminder that they are not alone.

At With You, our mission has always been bigger than awareness alone. We want to help create a culture where conversations about mental health are normal, where support is accessible, and where first responders know their value is not tied to how much they can carry in silence.

Thank you to everyone who attended, shared the event, invited others, and helped make this evening possible. Thank you to our panel members for their honesty, vulnerability, and willingness to lead difficult conversations that matter. And thank you to every first responder and family member who showed up last night.

This conversation does not end here.

The more we talk, the more we reduce stigma.
The more connected we stay, the stronger our community becomes.

Police Week matters because most people only see law enforcement during moments of chaos, crisis, or conflict. What they do not always see is the human side of the badge.

As someone who wore the badge for years, I know the job follows you home. It changes the way you think, the things you carry, and sometimes even how you connect with the people around you. Officers see people on some of the worst days of their lives, then are expected to move on to the next call like nothing happened.

That is why Police Week matters to the community.

It is a chance to slow down and recognize the people behind the uniform. The men and women missing birthdays, working holidays, carrying stress quietly, and still showing up every day to serve people they may never even meet again.

This week is not about pretending the profession is perfect. It is about recognizing the sacrifice, the responsibility, and the weight that comes with the job.

For us at With You, this week also serves as a reminder that supporting law enforcement means more than saying “thank you.” It means checking on people. It means talking about mental health honestly. It means creating a culture where officers know they can ask for help without feeling weak.

Communities are stronger when the people protecting them feel supported too.

And sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply remind someone carrying the weight of the job that they are not carrying it alone.

During National Police Week, we recognize the officers who serve our communities with courage, sacrifice, and commitment. We also remember the families who stand beside them, the officers we have lost, and the realities that come with wearing the badge.

At With You, we believe supporting law enforcement also means supporting their mental health, their wellness, and the weight they carry long after the shift ends.

As someone who has worn the badge, we know the job can change you. The stress, trauma, criticism, and responsibility are real. That is why our mission continues to focus on connection, support, and reminding first responders they do not have to carry it alone.

This week, take a moment to thank an officer.
Check on the ones who always check on everyone else.
And remember that behind every uniform is a human being.

We stand with those who serve.
