Challenge from Pastor John's Message:
"Get Them In The Ark" Hebrews 11:7

Genesis records for us the account of "Noah's Flood." Those of us who believe the Bible know the flood occurred. Atheists, agnostics, many unbelievers as well as some professed Christians do not believe the flood occurred.

An interesting fact is that many cultures who have never heard of the Bible have a story in their folklore about a worldwide flood.

The Bible tells us the flood occurred. Jesus referenced Noah and the flood when in Matthew 24:37 He said, "As it was in the days of Noah. . . in the days before the flood. . ."

Jesus went on to say it will be like the days of Noah when He comes again. "There will be eating and drinking and giving in marriage." Life will be very normal.

What's the challenge for us? Get ourselves and our families and friends in the ark. We do not have to build an ark as Noah did. We have an ark.

Our ark is Jesus Christ. Our place of safety is in Him.

"On Calvary's hill an ark has been built
Costing the blood of God's Son.
With its door open wide, there is safety inside,
Anybody who will may get in.

Soon to one and to all will go the last call,
Then the door of God's mercy shall close.
Opportunity then will never come again
How soon 'twill be, only God knows."

Get into the ark, Oh! The sky grows dark.
There's a storm called God's Great Judgement Day.
From its fierce, angry waves
In the ark you'll be saved.
Come into the ark today.

Are you in the ark? If not, it's time to get in.

Call now to connect with business.

The Word for Sunday's Message: "Get Them In The Ark!" Genesis 6:5-8; Matthew 24:36-39; Hebrews 11:7

Non-believers like to proclaim that the account of Noah and the world-wide flood was a fairy tale. A myth. It's one of the accounts they use to try and prove the inaccuracies of or the unreliability of the Bible.

In doing so, the ignore the evidence in the fossil record that points to the flood. Many cultures that have no connection with the Bible have stories in their culture about a worldwide flood.

Jesus tells us that just as was when the flood came, there will be eating, drinking, and giving in marriage. Life will be going on as normal.

The Hebrew writer tells us that Noah built an ark that was the salvation of His family. We do not have to build an ark to be safe when Jesus comes.

We just have to be in Jesus. He is our ark.

Join us Sunday, 10:00am, at 3940 Holly Hill Road as we look at the urgent reason to be in our ark, Jesus.

Challenge from Pastor John's Message: "Living in Peace" Ephesians 4:1-32

We've continued our series on The Family, the foundation of society. God established the family before He established the church or any other form of government.

If we want peace in our churches, in our schools, in our society, in our government, then we must live in peace in our homes.

Unfortunately, because we have forgotten how God told us to live, far too many of our homes have become dysfunctional. Instead of our homes being refuges of love, peace, and harmony, they are citadels of disharmony, betrayal, and fighting.

God has a better way. Although in Ephesians, chapter 4, the Apostle Paul is writing to the church at Ephesus, the guidelines he gives them work in the church, in the school, and more importantly in the home. While there is so much more than the few verses I will share here, if we would put these verses into practice, it would revolutionize our homes and society.

Ephesians chapter 4 verse 1 " I (Paul) . . . implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you."

What a difference it would make in our homes, schools, churches, the work place, and government if we put these verses into practice.

There would be peace!

The Word for Sunday's Message: "Living in Peace" Ephesians 4:1-32

We live in a world of chaos and strife. Unfortunately, many, many families live this way; constantly at each other's throats. All too often we read of a son stealing his parent's finances; a daughter defrauding her parents.

God has a different plan. In the midst of a chaotic, violent world, our homes ought to be a shelter from the storms of life. Our churches ought to be a place of refuge. And they will be if our homes are functioning as God intended them to function.

In writing to the Ephesian church in the fourth chapter of the Ephesian letter, the Apostle Paul gives some very practical guidelines - rules, if you will - for living at peace.

Join us Sunday at 10:00 at 3940 Holly Hill Road in Lake Charles. We will be looking for you!
