Today, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Monica Moore for sharing her inspiring Evergreen Life Services experience with us. Your words touched our hearts and reminded us all of the importance of love and support in our community.

We’d also like to express our gratitude to Sara Judson from the First Presbyterian Church and the Community Foundation for taking time to speak with us. Sara's connection to Evergreen runs deep—her mother served on our board in the 1970s, and we are so grateful for her continued support and dedication!

Welcome Matt Young to the Evergreen Life Services of Southwest LA Advisory Board!

Matt brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for our community. As the Public Relations Director at Visit Lake Charles, Matt has been instrumental in showcasing Southwest Louisiana's vibrant culture, delicious food, and breathtaking outdoor adventures to audiences in the U.S. and around the world.

His extensive background includes serving the City of Lake Charles under former Mayor Roach and current Mayor Hunter. Matt also made history as the first Quality of Life Chairperson on the SWLA Alliance's board of directors. His visionary work has led to the creation of beloved attractions and events in Lake Charles, such as the downtown dog park, the Live at the Lakefront concert series, and the Living History Cemetery Tour.

We look forward to the incredible contributions he will make to our mission to serve, provide for, and champion individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
