Day one, done ✅

Our jumper riders brought the speed and laid down beautiful trips all day long on the first day of our Hunter/Jumper Fall Finale. Congratulations to all of our exhibitors on a fantastic day of good rides and great horsemanship.

These shows are so special because of the community behind them. Thank you to our incredible team of volunteers, and to the sponsors who made today’s classes possible. We’re days away from the finale of our Hunter/Jumper season, and we’re counting down the minutes until our competitors return to the arena.

Our shows run on volunteers and we’re still looking for announcers on both Saturday and Sunday! In fact, we even have a few stalls open for individuals willing to step up to the mic. If you’re interested please let us know.

As a reminder, you need to complete eight hours of volunteer time to be eligible for year-end awards. This is a great opportunity to get those last few hours logged!

What a perfect finale to the LWSC dressage season on Saturday — the weather held, the horses were happy, and the arena was full of bright smiles and horse friends reconnecting. The turnout was fantastic, and the energy all day long felt like everything we love about this community.

A special moment we won’t forget: Charlize’s very first time showing, riding lead line with her horse. She absolutely lit up the ring with cuteness.

Congratulations as well to our Junior High Point winner, Lucy Fry — such a wonderful achievement to cap off the season.

As we wrap up the year, a quick reminder to our members: please submit your volunteer hours as soon as possible. Riders need 8 volunteer hours to qualify for year‑end awards, and your submissions help us plan accurately. If you’re still working toward your hours, there are a few more opportunities left to volunteer before the season officially closes.

Thank you to every rider, family member, spectator, and volunteer who made this final show such a success. What a wonderful way to end the year.

CANCELLED due to rain

Work party Sunday September 13th at 10am at the round pen behind the barn.

Need help moving the round pen panels so that the tractor can push the sand from the edges into the middle of the pen and then drag it. We will then re-install the panels and replace broken panels.

Panels should not be heavy but we need your help! If you have a couple of hours to help out, it would be sincerely appreciated. Hours can be applied to Club year end award eligibility.

The Fall Invitational is just around the corner on September 19-20 and entries are now open on www.horseshowtime.com. You must have shown in at least one LWSC hunter/jumper show this season to be eligible to compete.

We have a fun schedule full of special classes and prizes, so get your entries in as soon as possible! We will also have a food vendor onsite for this show.

Finally, don’t forget that to be eligible for LWSC year-end awards at our annual meeting and banquet on November 7, each competitor (or their families/friends) needs to do at least eight hours of volunteer time.

The countdown is on and we can’t wait to see our exhibitors back at the park in a few weeks!

A huge thank you to our volunteers who came to help on Saturday with the English/Western Show. Every single one of you was so appreciated! And an especially huge shout out to Tim W. and Dave Yakoleff who dug channels so the rings could drain, and uncovered the completely covered drain grates!
