Our wonderful Bridle Trails State Park Ranger, Matt Birklid is leaving us. He has been studying hard for a few years and is at the point in his education that he needs to intern before he graduates with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He will be interning with the UW Research and his last day with State Parks will be Saturday, June 20th.

We will be sending him off with a gathering at Bridle Trails State Park during the Obstacle Training Day event on Saturday June 20th. The gathering will begin at Noon. LWSC will be providing refreshments.

We would love to have a crowd there to let him know how much we have appreciated his hard work and friendship. He will be sorely missed. Matt is one of those people who thinks the best of others and really wants to help. We have enjoyed partnering with him and we know he will succeed in whatever he plans for his life.

And that’s a wrap on jumper day! Congratulations to all the riders and horses on great trips, fast times and fun rides. Tomorrow, our hunters will take over the grounds and we’re looking forward to another great day of community and horse showing.

⏰ As a reminder, estimated class times can be found on our stories or at horseshowtime.com. Please check the ring for the most current estimates and note that the junior and senior 2’3” equitation has been combined.

🚘 Please do not park at the businesses across the street, and if you’re parking on 116th, be mindful of the bike lanes. They are ticketing and we want to be respectful of others who enjoy the park and surrounding areas.

We can’t wait to see you tomorrow!

One more sleep and our first hunter/jumper show of the year will be underway. We can’t wait to welcome all of our members, horses and fans back to the park.

A few reminders:
🥪 We won’t have a food vendor on-site this show, so make sure to pack snacks for both humans and horses.

⏰ Projected class times are available on horseshowtime.com or our stories. Please remember times are subject to change and to check the rings for the most accurate information.

🐴 In order to be eligible for year end awards, you must volunteer eight hours. There’ll be plenty of jobs over the weekend and we rely on our volunteers to make these special shows run.

Good luck, have fun and stay dry tomorrow. We can’t wait to see you!

What a fantastic Saturday at the dressage show! The horses were shining, the riders brought their A‑game, and the community energy made the whole day feel special.

A huge thank‑you to our volunteers — truly the heart of every show we run. These events simply aren’t possible without your time, dedication, and good spirits. Volunteers, please remember to submit your hours so you can qualify for end‑of‑year banquet awards. The form is now open and working 😁

Congratulations to our High Point winners:
• AA — Kristin Martin on Fitzwilliam, 75.52% in Training Level 2
• JR — Makenna Carlsen on Annie, 69.5% in Intro Level C
• Open — Juliane Thielen on Little Lime, 65.12% in Third Level 3

And for those planning ahead: our July 11th dressage show opens for registration on June 14th.

But before then, the fun continues — the next show at the club is our Hunter/Jumper show this weekend. Come cheer, ride, volunteer, or just enjoy the action.

Only a few days left until our LWSC Dressage Show this Saturday, and we could really use some extra hands. Our shows only happen because of our amazing community, and right now we especially need scribes to help the day run smoothly.

We’ll take great care of you — scribes will be provided with lunch, and you’ll earn stall credit for this show or any future show this season.

If you can help, please sign up and be part of what makes these shows possible for everyone.
