Creativity was shining bright as our participants made their own jewel crowns!

They selected their favorite gemstones, arranged them with care, and added each one to the crown base to create something colorful, sparkly, and uniquely their own.

Yoga with Alison is always a wonderful part of our week at Friendship Adventures.

Through gentle movement, stretching, balance, and breath, our participants have the opportunity to ground their nervous systems while also strengthening their bodies. We’re grateful for the calm, confidence, and joy Alison brings to each session!

After a few days of record heat, it felt wonderful to be outside comfortably enjoying the sunshine in our day program yard.

Our participants had the chance to pick strawberries from our very own strawberry patch, play games, and spend time together in the fresh air. It was a sweet and sunny reminder of how much joy can grow right outside our door!

Our participants tried a new creative technique called bubble art, and it was just as fun as it sounds!

Using watercolors, cling wrap, bubbles, and paper, they followed a multi-step process to transfer color and create beautiful designs. It took patience, focus, and a willingness to try something new — and of course, everyone enjoyed the bubbles along the way!

Just over a year ago, our participants planted tiny baby succulent starts, and since then, they’ve been nurtured with sunshine, water, and plenty of care in our front lobby.

They finally outgrew their small pots, so we replanted them into beautiful bowls that now help brighten and personalize our Friendship Adventures space. It has been a wonderful reminder that with patience, attention, and care, little things can grow into something beautiful.

Creativity, games, and teamwork made for a fun-filled session at Friendship Adventures!

Our Day Program participants created seashell collages, played games, and worked together on puzzles — a perfect mix of imagination, laughter, and connections.

Another fun field trip for our day program participants took us to the Woodland Park Rose Garden.

Early June was the perfect time to visit, with the rose bushes in full bloom and the fragrance absolutely amazing. It was a beautiful outing filled with fresh air, colorful flowers, and time together enjoying one of Seattle’s lovely garden spaces.

Playgrounds are made for playing — and they bring out the kid in all of us!

Our day program participants had a great time visiting the recently renovated James Keough Park, where we rode the merry-go-round, climbed the dome, went up and down the slide, and enjoyed plenty of laughter along the way. After all that movement and fun, snack time was the perfect way to wrap up our outing!

Our participants created their very own oceans in a bottle, using food coloring, pebbles, shells, and other found materials to bring their underwater worlds to life.

It was a fun, hands-on activity filled with color, creativity, and imagination — and each bottle became a little ocean adventure of its own!
