She came by to say hello and help water the garden, but our participants had an even better idea… water the dog! There was plenty of laughter, a little splashing, and a whole lot of joy as Daisy soaked up all the attention.

Music, movement, and a little fresh air made for a wonderful day at Friendship Adventures.

Our participants had fun exploring rhythm and sound with percussion instruments, then carried that energy outside for a walk along the Interurban Trail. It was a great combination of creativity, connection, and enjoying the beauty of our neighborhood.

We often keep a 1000-piece puzzle on a side table for participants to work on whenever they feel inspired. Everyone has a hand in bringing it together, and depending on the design, it can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to complete. Our Wednesday crew always looks forward to yoga with Allison.

Each week brings a comforting rhythm and routine, along with new ways to stretch our bodies, try something different, and connect movement to everyday life. Allison is an exceptional instructor who gives clear, creative movement cues — like breathing in to smell fresh-baked cookies and breathing out to cool them down — making yoga both accessible and fun for everyone.

A different group of our day program participants enjoyed another wonderful outing to Woodland Park Zoo, made extra special by exploring the recently opened Forest Trailhead exhibit.

We saw many new animals, including the red panda, and then continued our adventure with visits to the penguins, otters, tigers, and more!
