For the past 7 years during the holiday season, St. Luke's has partnered with Imagine Housing and 30Bellevue to bring joy to the children, youth, and teens living there. Last year, we helped provide 67 new toys for children under the age of twelve, and 26 gift cards for teens between 13 and 18. Behind every request for a toy or warm coat is a parent doing their best to make the holidays special despite ongoing challenges.

This year we expect the requests for help to increase; therefore, we are starting our donation requests early. Please help by donating to this important ministry. We will use the funds donated now towards Giving Tree purchases in November. Skills for Disagreeing Better Workshop
Saturday, June 6th, 1pm - 3pm

Please register to join us at this FREE workshop conducted by Braver Angels. We will learn and practice skills for listening carefully, looking for common ground, and sharing our perspectives in ways that connect rather than create more misunderstanding. We encourage you to invite those from your circle with different views. This workshop is about sharing experiences and finding common ground, not about debate or persuasion. Maundy Thursday is believed to be the day when Jesus celebrated his final Passover with His disciples and then washed their feet in an extraordinary display of humility. Love and Justice Movie Afternoon
Saturday, April 11th from 2:00-5:00pm
Spend an afternoon at St. Luke's viewing and discussing the documentary: Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America. We will watch in the sanctuary and then gather in the narthex for an easy finger-food meal & group discussion. Fun movie-goer refreshments too! Join us for this special afternoon.

Palm Sunday marks the first day of Holy Week. It is celebrated by the blessing and distribution of palm branches, representing the palm branches that the crowd scattered before Christ as he rode into Jerusalem. Cheri and company are hosting another Coffee House Night on Saturday, January 10th from 7-9pm at St. Luke's Lutheran. Join us for this fun sing-along. There will be tea, coffee, soup, and bread choices and always...good clean fun!
