The mission of Fatherhood Foundations is to provide instruction, inspiration, and encouragement to fathers, helping their children realize that they belong, are loved and affirmed, so that they and their children can be the best they can be. Our comprehensive programs, including "Fundamentals of Fatherhood," "Good Dads 2.0," and "Within My Reach," are designed to equip fathers with essential skills for effective parenting, communication, and conflict resolution. What a wonderful evening celebrating with some of our Fatherhood Foundations supporters! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Donor Appreciation Event and to our friend Wayne Simien for sharing an encouraging message.
We are so thankful for the generosity, prayers, and care of those who make this work possible. It was a joy to gather around the table and thank you in person. Your support helps us continue the work God has called us to do, strengthening fathers and families.

One of the greatest blessings of working with Fatherhood Foundations is having a front-row seat to the ways God faithfully rewrites our students’ stories.
This week, one student shared that he is communicating with his family again after 14 months without hearing from them. Another told us that his dad gave his life to the Lord while battling an illness.
What a beautiful reminder that no story is beyond the reach of God—and that the Author of our stories is always faithful.

Did you know that Fatherhood Foundations teaches 5 classes every week at Lansing Penitentiary? Recently, when we called to thank a donor for his gift, he shared why he chose to support Fatherhood Foundations.
He had been reflecting on Jesus’ words in Matthew 25: “I was in prison and you visited me.” Although he isn’t physically able to go into prisons himself, he realized he could partner with Fatherhood Foundations—because we do.

You may recognize Phillip.

A few weeks ago, we shared his story—a testimony that was shown at our June 20 event. But there was something especially powerful about watching Phillip stand in that room and share his story in person.

Moments like this what becomes possible when a community chooses to invest in men who are working so hard to build a different future.

"It helped me learn not to rely on aggression as a source of power."

Childhood trauma led Philip Foster down a difficult path that eventually landed him in prison. But behind bars, Philip chose a new direction. With a new faith and commitment to the teaching he learned in class,, he learned to control his anger and stopped viewing it as a source of power.

The result? He completely rebuilt his relationship with his parents. And in a beautiful full-circle miracle, Philip was released just days before our inaugural Legacy of Fatherhood Luncheon at Thompson Barn and was able to attend alongside his mother and father. 🙌❤️

"It’s never too late to break the cycle and build a new legacy." ✨

Elise Hall’s journey took a dangerous turn into addiction starting in high school. For years, she was lost—until she found Healing House here in KC. It was there that her life changed, and it’s also where she met her husband, Jeremiah, who was battling his own war with alcoholism.

Through his recovery and the principles taught in Fatherhood Foundations classes at Healing House, Jeremiah chose a different path. Today, he is a sober, deeply present, and loving father to three beautiful children.

🇺🇸 Heading into the 4th of July weekend, we are still buzzing from the incredible energy at our Legacy of Fatherhood Luncheon!

We wanted to take a moment to look back and say a massive thank you to everyone who joined us at Thompson Barn. Because of your overwhelming generosity, our campaign raised a total of $47,000 - $36,000 after expenses - that will go directly toward training new facilitators, purchase student materials, and allowing us to accept exciting invitations to bring Fatherhood Foundations classes into brand-new facilities. 🧡
