We were honored to host the EPA Regional leadership earlier this month to discuss our solutions for composting on a large scale.

"Feed It Onward connects food donors and organizations leading on food waste reduction with communities in need, while reducing the environmental impact of food waste in landfills. As part of the Freedom 250 celebration, Feed It Onward reflects the values that have always made our country strong — generosity, grit, and community. We partner with private and public groups to highlight these opportunities to reduce our nation’s food waste."

The collaborative spirit among the vendors and volunteers truly reflects the Kansas City community. David, one of the dedicated Fan Fest volunteers, exemplified this spirit by proactively offering his assistance to KC Can Compost throughout the food court, ensuring that guests properly composted their waste.

On top of our regularly scheduled pick ups, we have had Fan Fest, along with watch parties in NKC and OP!! We are loving this test to our process!!

We’re showing the world that large-scale events can be sustainable, but we can't do it alone. We need hands on deck to guide fans and keep the momentum going! Join our "Compost Crew" for a quick 2-hour volunteer shift, catch some incredible live music, and help us show what KC can do.
