"What do I need to do to receive services?"

This is the most common question our team receives. Short answer: Absolutely nothing, please come see us during Walk-In Wednesday!

Long Answer: KCFEC does not require pre-verification of income, an application or proof of need to receive services. Come to one of our upcoming clinics and we will help you!

For many of our patients, we are the safety-net when a parent loses employment, the last check mark for a new job, or a support for retirees. We are a step on a patient's journey, not a barrier.

THANK YOU to our friends at KC CAN! (Kansas City Children's Assistance Network) for their generous grant of $25,000! Our team is absolutely blown away by their generosity and investment into the Kansas City community!

With this donation, KCFEC will add a second mobile exam lane to be utilized at school clinics and restock all of our cases, cleaning cloths, and supplies. This will allow us to serve twice as many students at every school!

KCFEC is already experiencing a record breaking year and this grant will allow us to smash that record! KCFEC is on track to more than double all patients served and to double the amount of children served.

Thank you so much to the entire KC CAN! Board and donors! You have helped our community see!

A patient recently stopped our Program Manager, Ashley, because she remembered her name.

At a recent clinic, our Program Manager was running around, getting folks settled in during our Walk-In Wednesday clinic. She recognized a patient and said, "Oh Debra*, I'll grab your glasses in just a minute." Debra headed back to the lab and waited. When our Program Manager came by, Debra pulled her aside and said, "How did you remember my name? No one ever remembers my name." Ashley stated, "We are here to build relationships with our patients because we want you to know we are a resource." Debra thanked Ashley for her glasses and showed them off to the lobby on the way out.

This is why we are here. To be a reliable space for our patients and to truly know the communities we serve. KCFEC is more than healthcare. We are a space patients feel safe, heard and seen.
