Here’s a part of my story I don’t often share- the supernatural and channeling.
In 2017 I was caught up in adultery, playing house with a man I was not married to and living with his two children. You will often hear in my testimony that “I met a bad dude and absorbed his bad world.” It’s not that this man was worse than me, but our darkness fed off one another. Even if I hadn’t met him, I still would have been an addict. It still would have taken meeting Jesus to free me.
But he did introduce me to m**h, violence, and witchcraft. We often bought from and smoked m**h with a witch and brought this evil into our home and around his children. Now I was highly intrigued by the UFO phenomenon and found a technique of channeling that I seemed to be extremely gifted at. I won’t go into details, because it is very dangerous in the hands of someone practicing it. When coupled with m**h, the spirit realm enters the physical.
M**h taps you into the forbidden frequency of the supernatural, accessing the Spirit realm through a back door. Believers of God go in through the front door seeing the beauty of God and His presence, but children of wrath, enemies of the cross, experience som**hing different. Som**hing darker.
I used to go out at 3 AM and “call” these entities to me, guiding them to where we lived. I recorded these encounters, the lights that would show up, and we were fascinated by their response to my invitation. “No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” (2 Cor 11:14)
In his book Closing the Forbidden Door, Dr. James Morocco says “the Door of Attraction is named such from the principle that ‘like attracts like’ especially in the spiritual realm. The idea is that when people do things that are satanic in nature, doing Satan‘s work, they attract demons to themselves.”
Or as my mother put it, I was chased down by demons. I had to flee this man in the middle of the night after he threatened to cut me and my unborn child up and leave us on the side of the road. I didn’t even know Holy Spirit but som**hing told me to run, to get out when he finally crashed. I never got to say goodbye to these children I loved. I just took a bag and ran.
I never went back, but I was filled with the demonic- suicidal, felt fire on my skin and brain, and I knew I was going to hell. I was tortured by my association with the darkness until I met Jesus just three weeks later.
This last July, a great man of God told Jeremy and I that “the things of our past- down to the last detail- will be completely restored,” but I did not expect what came last week to be a part of this promise.
The little girl who I had been “mom” to all those years ago reached out. I have been praying for these kids for nine years, knowing they would find me when they were ready. Her name is Kennedy. She not only forgives me for my part in the chaos, but she still loves me, oh my heart 💗 And God has given her a good life!
I got to hear her voice last week. We spent an hour and a half on the phone. Kennedy said, “It amazes me that you’ve changed so much, that you’re right with God.” If you knew old Sarah, you’d be amazed, too.
She sent me this picture, one of the last times we were together. Sadly we had smoked m**h with the witch earlier that night and took the children to a rock show for family time. But she hung onto this picture all these years because it was her only sense of family. God took care of her when I couldn’t, and He rescued both of us from darkness. Isn’t that our God?
To anyone dabbling in the occult, in witchcraft with any of its forms, Jesus wants to give you peace, freedom and the ABILITY to enjoy life in true Light. You never knew upfront that there was a cost to this entanglement, but you see the evidence of the destruction everywhere. You’ve been robbed.
