The Waimea Community Chorus returns to Kahilu Theatre on Sunday, June 7, with “Songs of the Sea,” an afternoon of music inspired by water, waves, and the many connections we share with the ocean.

Featuring community voices from across Hawai‘i Island, this performance moves across genres and generations through songs that explore adventure, memory, nature, and renewal.

The program includes music by The Beatles, Otis Redding, Enya, Christopher Cross, Harry Belafonte, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as beloved Hawai‘i songs including “White Sandy Beach” and “Pearly Shells.”

Directed by Barbara Kopra and accompanied by pianist Kirk Corey, Songs of the Sea celebrates the joy of singing together and the many ways the ocean shapes our lives and communities.
