Out of an abundance of caution for our artists, patrons, staff, volunteers, and community as we prepare for the approaching storm, Kahilu Theatre is making the following schedule changes:

🎭 BRAD WILLIAMS — POSTPONED

Tonight’s Brad Williams performance has been postponed. All tickets for tonight’s performance will be honored on the new date. Additional information will be shared directly with ticket holders.

🌺 KAHILU OPEN HOUSE — MOVED TO SUNDAY, AUGUST 23

Our 2026–27 Season Open House, originally scheduled for this Sunday, will now take place Sunday, August 23, from 12–4 PM.

🎟️ OUR NEW SEASON STILL GOES LIVE THIS SUNDAY!

While we won’t be gathering together in person this Sunday, we’re still excited to officially launch our 2026–27 Season as planned!

You’ll be able to explore the new season and purchase your tickets from the comfort and safety of your home beginning this Sunday at Kahilu.org. Then, join us in person next Sunday, August 23, for our Open House, where we’ll celebrate the season together!

We greatly appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility. The safety of our entire Kahilu ʻohana—especially those traveling from across Hawaiʻi Island—is our priority.

Kahilu Theatre was incorrectly identified as an emergency shelter in an earlier Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense message.

Kahilu Theatre is NOT an emergency shelter.

The emergency shelter identified by Civil Defense for Waimea is Kahilu Town Hall.

Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense has issued a corrected message with the proper shelter location.

Please share this correction and follow Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense for the latest official emergency information.

Nā Leo TV is proud to present Hānau Ka Mele, an immersive cinematic experience that celebrates mele, the mo’olelo behind the songs, and the deep connections between people and place.

Our inaugural duology features The Lim Family and Mark Yamanaka, and we’re excited to invite the community to a special first-look screening of our 30-minute feature with The Lim Family on Wednesday, August 5 at Kahilu Theatre.

Admission is free. Reserve your tickets at kahilu.org/events. Doors open at 5:30 PM and the screening begins at 6:00 PM, with remarks by The Lim Family to follow.
