Chalk It Up! to the Arts at Downtown Harrisonburg’s Skeleton Festival was this weekend, and we are still gushing over how much fun we had. Here are just a few snippets of that dreamy, festive day! ✨

We are lucky, lucky, lucky to be in the company of such wonderful artists for Chalk It Up! to the Arts! Another of our featured artists creating large-scale, Halloween-themed chalk artwork during Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance’s Skeleton Festival is Abigail Turner. ✨

Turner shares that her work is rooted in self-expression and creativity. For her, art is not a hobby or profession, but a way of life, a lens through which she sees the world. Self-taught, she draws inspiration from everyday life, developing a unique artistic voice. She mainly works with colored pencils, chalk, and paints, using vibrant colors and intricate detail to create bold and captivating pieces. Through her work, she aims to inspire others and create meaningful visual experiences that leave a lasting impression. Originally from Chesapeake, Virginia, Turner is currently studying Studio Art with a minor in Illustration at James Madison University.

Admire her newest chalk artwork from 10am to 5pm this Saturday, Oct 24! 🎃
