Gentlemen it's that time of year. Come out and Rush JMU's Premier Engineering Fraternity Sigma Phi Delta. We accept all majors in CISE. Rush begins 1/19 and continues until 1/30. Today, 90 years ago, Sigma Phi Delta was founded.

In the Fall of 1923, a group of engineering students at the University of Southern California considered the idea of forming an engineering fraternity. The idea was considered and temporarily discarded due to the unsuccessful previous attempts. In the Spring of 1924, however, the group met to formulate their ideas into action. The first meeting of this group was held at the University YMCA, commonly called "The Red Barn" or "The Barn".

Rush officially starts tomorrow night with Do-It-Yourself night at HHS 0107 (engineering lab) at 6PM. We'll have plenty of materials for anyone to try to build one of our suggested projects, or you can come with your own ideas and build something for your dorm or apartment completely from scratch!
