Interactive Resource Center

Interactive Resource Center Drop-in center for those experiencing homelessness. We provide fundamental resources like showers, laundry, mail and a medical/behavioral health clinic.

We also provide case management and housing navigation for individuals ready to make the next step! The Interactive Resource Center is an innovative day center for people experiencing homelessness in Greensboro, North Carolina. Open from 8am-3pm, Monday-Friday, we offer showers, laundry services, mail services, a phone bank, medical clinic, case management, transportation assistance, locker usage,

and various other supports to help neighbors reconnect with their own lives and with the community at large. The IRC promotes dignity, respect, connection, and empowerment in an environment where relationships matter. NOTE: We are open every day, and all weekend. We are *ONLY* closed on weekdays from 3PM-6:30PM for deep cleaning, and the 3rd Friday of the month (from 8AM-6:30PM) for staff development and facilities maintenance. View our social media pages for updates. A creative platform for community ideas and solutions to homelessness, the IRC is also a springboard for individuals to create programs and develop strategies to end homelessness. At the IRC, we believe the people closest to the challenges are also closest to the solutions.

The Guest Advisory Committee (GAC) exists to ensure guest voices are not only heard, but included in shaping programs, events, and community partnerships.

The Resource Fair was built with lived experience at the center - because access, dignity, and connection matter.

Real community change starts with listening.

Join us May 20 for the Second Annual IRC Resource Fair.

Want to learn more about the work of GAC? Sign up for the IRC monthly newsletter to stay connected with upcoming events, community initiatives, and guest-led impact.

Special thanks to 33 & Elm Coffee House for donating the use of their conference room for the IRC Executive Director Bennita Curtain and the IRC Interim Board Chair Deonna Kelli Sayed to have a "mini-strategy" session. Did you know the charming coffee house also has a conference room for rent? They have a large meeting table in a private area, plus AV equipment and computer hookups--everything you need for a productive meeting away from the office. Check them out for rental rates. They give discounts to nonprofits!

33 & Elm is brought to you by the Industries of the Blind. Proceeds from the coffee shop support the organization.
