🚀 EagleTron FRC Team 9559 is recruiting new team members for the 2027 robotics season!

Through the SHIELD Mentor Program, young people gain hands-on experience in engineering, programming, robotics, teamwork, and leadership while learning alongside dedicated mentors.

At EagleTron FRC Team 9559, robotics is about more than designing, coding, and competing.

It's about young people discovering what they're capable of when someone believes in them, mentors guide them, and they're given opportunities to learn by doing.

In 2026, our EagleTron team celebrated an event championship, developed new technical skills, and demonstrated the power of teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving.

🚀 Now, we're preparing for our 2027 robotics season, and we're excited about what's ahead!

Our 9-5-5-9 Challenge is officially underway! We're inviting our community to help us raise $9,559 in 95 days to provide more opportunities for young people to learn, build, and lead alongside mentors.

Some people leave a lasting impact on an entire community simply by showing up, encouraging others, and believing in young people. For the FIRST North Carolina community, Marie Hopper is one of those people.

For more than 20 years, Marie has supported students, mentors, coaches, volunteers, and teams across our state, helping create opportunities that have changed countless young lives.

This summer, Marie suffered two strokes and was later diagnosed with colon cancer. As she faces surgery recovery, chemotherapy, and significant medical expenses, we have an opportunity to give back to someone who has given so much to all of us.

The SHIELD Mentor Program and EagleTron Team 9559 invite our families, friends, and supporters to consider making a donation or sharing this fundraiser. No gift is too small.

🤖💬 One of our favorite moments is when our littlest visitors start talking to the robot!

At STEMFest, we watched young people walk up to EagleTron with curiosity, excitement, and lots of questions. Some wanted to know how the robot works. Others wanted to know if it could talk back. A few were ready to become robot operators before they even left the event!

These conversations are exactly why we do this work. A simple interaction can spark an interest in engineering, coding, problem-solving, or a future career that a young person may have never considered before.

This summer, EagleTron (FRC Team 9559) is ready to hit the road and bring robotics directly to young people across our community. We believe mentors make the difference, and every child benefits from having someone to lead and guide them while exploring new possibilities.

We’re excited to share that EagleTron, FRC Team 9559, will be participating in the upcoming STEMFest 2026 on May 23 at the Novant Health Fieldhouse!

Join us for this FREE family-friendly event filled with hands-on STEAM experiences, robotics, engineering, technology, and more alongside 70+ organizations helping shape the future workforce and STEM workforce community.

Our EagleTron robot will be there for young people and families to see in action, interact with, and explore up close. Team members will also be available to share what they’ve learned through mentorship, robotics, leadership, and teamwork throughout the season.

This is more than an event. It’s an opportunity to inspire young people to imagine what’s possible when mentors, innovation, and community come together.

We had an incredible time at the 2026 State Championship and are so thankful for the experience. This season gave our team members the opportunity to grow, compete, learn, and represent EagleTron with pride.

We are deeply grateful to every sponsor, donor, mentor, volunteer, family member, and supporter who helped make this robotics season possible. Your support created meaningful opportunities for our young people to build skills, strengthen confidence, and see what is possible through teamwork, innovation, and mentorship.

We did it. We qualified for the State Championship.

WE WON. 🏆

This past weekend, EagleTron (FRC Team 9559) competed at the Elon University District Event… and we brought home the win.

🏆 District Champions
🌟 Rising All-Star Award
📈 Now ranked #29 and heading to the State Championship (April 9–12, Greensboro)

We were honored to be selected as the second pick of Alliance 1, alongside (Team 3506) and .

We also teamed up with CitrusDuckz (11146) during one match, where they delivered a record-breaking score of 328.
