π³οΈ Every voice. Every vote. Let's walk together.
On Sunday, October 25, more than twenty Greensboro organizations working on immigrant justice, health care, workers' rights, racial justice, affordability, voting rights, and more will walk side by side to Early Voting. We'd love for you to walk with us!
We don't all work on the same issue, but we all get to the same ballot. That's what our walk is about.
π 2:00 PM: Gather at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 901 E. Friendly Ave.
Three inspiring speakers, the Community Gospel Choir, the Grimsley High School Drumline, and giant butterfly puppets from Paperhand Puppet Intervention will send us off in style.
πΆπ½ββοΈ Then we walk nine-tenths of a mile to the early voting site at the old Guilford County Courthouse, 301 W. Market St. There, information tables from our endorsing organizations and music from Singing Resistance will fill the lawn.
This is a multicultural, interfaith, nonpartisan event, and everyone is welcome. No registration is required, but please register at www.unitywalkgso.com so we can plan for accessibility and shuttles. Carpooling is encouraged, and (as needed) shuttles will bring walkers back to the church after the program.
Bring your family, your neighbors, your congregation, and your colleagues. Let's show everyone what unity in Greensboro looks like. π
