Creative Aging Network - NC Our MISSION is to enrich the lives of adults through creative expression, education, and social connection, bridging generations and cultures.

We follow Guilford County School's weather policy for closures and delays. Creative Aging Network - NC (CAN-NC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing creative programming for all adults who identify as aging throughout the state. Our 10-acre campus in Greensboro, the serves as a site for intergenerational and multicultural engagement, collaboration, and education. CAN-NC Teaching Ar

tists also work in the community with aging service providers to implement creative classes such as painting, dancing, singing, poetry, writing and storytelling. When implemented with staff support and participation, creative programs enhance the person-centered care concept and honor the voices of elders as well as those working closest with them. CAN-NC also partners with universities to conduct research on originally designed programs. Through this collaborative work we can better meet our goal of improving the quality of life of all adults through creative arts. Location: 2400 Summit Ave, Greensboro, NC 27405. Go to the end of the driveway and around the gazebo. We follow Guilford County School's inclement weather policy and will be closed or delayed when GCS is closed or delayed.

Come and join us for our 3rd annual event for a chance at intergenerational bonding that is sure to last a lifetime.

Grandparents & Grandchildren will learn about insects through art and ecology metamorphosing a day of experiential learning and fun.

Two Options: Saturday, June 27th | Saturday, July 25th

Fee: $99.00
Fee covers snacks and lunch, instruction, and all supplies for ONE grandparent and ONE grandchild.

$35.00 for each additional person/child.

There will be no formal instruction—just time and space to focus on your own process.

Each month brings a different model, offering fresh opportunities to practice gesture, proportion, anatomy, and line work.

Bring whatever materials inspire you to create—charcoal, ink, paint, collage, or other creative tools. Easels/tables will be provided.

Emonie Whitley, Executive Director of Vinmark International Dance, www.vinmarkdanceed.com has enjoyed teaching various dance styles for over 20 years. She is elated to bring "International Dance Fusion" to Creative Aging Network, which consists of Belly/Bollywood, African, Latin, Hip Hop, Jazz, Stretch and more! She asks that all students come with an open mind and learn how much we really are interrelated and connected through movement.

She will be teaching a dance class every first and third Tuesday from 6:30-7:30pm with the first session being TOMORROW Tuesday, June 16, 2026!
