On Sunday, October 11, 257 volunteers gathered in the Christ Greensboro gym to package 36,072 meals for Rise Against Hunger! These meals will support children experiencing hunger through a school feeding program in Zambia. This collaborative effort brought together ChristYouth, congregation members, and community partners from across the Triad. We are grateful to everyone who gave their time and energy to make this event possible! Participating congregations and organizations included:

• Guilford Park Presbyterian
• Westminster Presbyterian
• Alamance Presbyterian
• Presbyterian Church of Cross
• St. James Presbyterian
• Fellowship Presbyterian
• Providence Baptist Church
• West Market UMC
• First Lutheran
• Team Voyage, Page HS
• Triad Girl Scouts

Together, $14,337 was raised to cover the ingredients and supplies needed for this effort. These funds came from the Christ Greensboro Missions budget, West Market UMC, and individual donors. Thank you to everyone who helped make a difference through this incredible day of service!

On Sunday, we welcomed Jessica, Audrey, Ellie, and Chris into full membership, as well as baptizing Audrey!

Through membership in a faith community, we are given the chance to love, grow, and serve together, and through baptism, we are all incorporated by the Holy Spirit into God’s new creation. What a gift it was to witness such holy moments together! We can't wait to embrace all people with the boundless love of God with each of you.

Christ Greensboro, meet our newest brothers and sisters! Leave a warm welcome in the comments 🥰
