Phil serves as Executive Vice President/Director of Operations at East Greensboro NOW (EGN), a nonprofit community development corporation focused on economic development in east Greensboro. The organization’s activities are centered in community development, economic development, affordable housing and minority entrepreneurship.

Originally from Washington, DC, Phil is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a Bachelor’s degree in business and speech communications. Current community activities include serving on the board of directors for Eastside Park Community Center and Greensboro Community Television, the Board of Visitors at UNC Greensboro, as well as other committees and councils.
